Clearasil - Vitamins & Extracts Daily Clear Wash and Mask + Giveaway [CLOSED]

Product Talk by Nuffnang

Clearasil has recently launched their new Vitamins & Extracts range in Australia and I am excited to share with you my thoughts of their Daily Clear Wash and Mask thanks to Nuffnang!

The Vitamins & Extracts range contains less salicylic acid compared to other Clearasil products  making it more mild. The new range aims to improve the condition of your skin through Avocado and Pomegranate Extracts in their new formula, which helps the skin looking and feeling healthy, as well as Vitamin E and glycerine to help nourish and hydrate the skin.

The great thing about the Daily Clear Wash and Mask is how one product can double up as a cleanser in your regular skincare routine or as a mask if you leave it on for three minutes. Also, I am absolutely loving the smell of this as it's very fruity, refreshing and not overpowering either! I could smell it all day if I could.

Fun fact: In a trial conducted by Clearasil, over 74% of people said they loved the way the Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts products made the skin look and feel; with 71% claiming that it made their skin feel clearer and healthier (results of 135 users in beautyheaven blind test Australia, 2012).

WHERE TO BUY: It is available for $10.99 at your local supermarket such as Woolworths or other stockists.

FORMULA: As mentioned earlier, it is formulated with avocado and pomegranate extracts giving it a fruity scent and adding benefits to the skin. It also contains Vitamin E, glycerine, anti-oxidants and less salicylic acid compared to others. The product itself is a light green, creamy formula that doesn't foam up and the consistency is a bit on the runny side.

As a facial wash, I really enjoyed using this when I first received a small sachet sample. I found it really refreshing to use and gentle on the skin with the creamy formula. It didn't make my face feel dry nor did it irritate it, and overall it cleansed well enough and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. Even though it's recommended to use twice per day, I only used it once because I find washing my face in general with products will dry it out.

As a mask, you are supposed to leave it on for up to three minutes on a wet face then rinse it off. Maybe about a minute or so into using it, my skin was extremely irritated as I was experiencing a burning sensation around my cheeks and had to quickly rinse it off. I wouldn't say my skin is sensitive but I do find a number of products being too strong for my cheek area such as this. So maybe this would perform different on you since everyone's skin is different.

Overall, I do love their new product but would only continue using it as a wash since the mask didn't work out for me. I didn't experience any break outs, luckily, and I think it's a nice product for an every day face wash.

Thanks to Nuffnang and Clearisil, five lucky people have the chance to receive a full sized Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts Wash and Mask! The giveaway is open to Australian residents only (sorry international readers, once again!) and will end on 22nd July at 5PM. Here are the full terms and conditions.

  1. Not so much for my skin but I love the sound of a product that can do so much and all those healthy ingredients sound wonderful. I have three teenage boys and I think they could benefit from trying something like this. I have notice that their skin has really dried out from the continual use of acne products, I think something like this might help balance their skin and NOT cause their acne to get worse but hydrate, put some goodness back and make their skin look better.

And you know what? might as well enter for a free Clearasil product as well ^^

What skin concerns do you think Clearasil Vitamins and Extracts could help with?

I've actually been looking for a vitamin C and E product to help fade my acne scarring, and plus, since this is a facial wash, it could improve my chances ten fold! I don't have time to exfoliate weekly since I do make my own home remedy for exfoliating so I'm hoping this product will make me more productive! Though my skin is extremely prone and sensitive to break outs, it's not sensitive as in "goes red" so maybe I might be able to use it as a mask ^^

  9. I think Clearasil Vitamins and Extracts could help calm my stubborn acne bumps that I have here and there on my face. My current cleanser makes my cheeks feel dry afterwards so hopefully Clearasil can keep my skin feeling hydrated! The woes of having combination skin...

Thanks for the awesome giveaway Louise :)
