It's amazing how time flies - it feels like only yesterday I was with my boyfriend and two other friends watching fireworks on NYE and I was ridiculously tired, trying to sleep in the car while we decided to head to the beach at midnight. We have already approached March meaning it's autumn for some like me and winter for others.
In the colder months, we all tend to wear dark, dull, or neutral clothing as well as nail polishes. Being the nail polish addict I am, I actually have a number of polishes that I find are great for the colder seasons which I haven't tried or haven't used in a long time. Over the next few weeks I will be posting swatches of polishes from my collection which I think are great for the upcoming seasons!
Revlon - 360 Mischievous
I received this along with the next Revlon polish as a set from my cousin for my birthday last year. This is the first time I've swatched it as I thought the colours weren't for me. At first I thought this shade was a greyish brown by looking at the bottle but it turned out to be a pale greyish brown purple! The formula is excellent - creamy, smooth, and thick - so it applied wonderfully on my nails. I only needed one coat for the opaque look.
Revlon - 915 Crème Brûlée
This is a beautiful shimmery goldish champagne colour with a bit of a frosty finish which I would not have picked out myself. The formula is again excellent - thick and smooth, and applied on easily. It needed two coats to be opaque but the only problem I found was it is a bit streaky.
Butter London - Tramp Stamp
The name of this shade isn't actually on the bottle so I had to search it up on the website so I hope that's the right one! Butter London describes this to be a dark chocolate shade which is sort of accurate but I think it has a hint of burgundy red. It applied on smoothly but not as great as the Revlon polishes and needed two coats to be opaque.
Sportsgirl - Nude
I think this is a great nude shade and it is a must for everyone's collection, whether it be opaque or translucent. I'm not sure whether it's because I've had this bottle in my stash for a while but the formula was thick and goopy. It didn't glide onto my nails nicely so maybe it's time for this polish and I to part ways soon.
Topshop - Hidden Treasure
Okay my camera is a liar - the polish actually looks more gold then that and it looks nothing like the greenish gold duochrome that you see from the bottle. If you look at your nails from different angles you will see hints of green I guess. I only applied one coat and you can see it's quite opaque already but if you want the extra glam you can apply another coat. The formula is thick and smooth and glides on beautifully on my nails.
That's part one of my nail collection which I plan to wear during the upcoming colder months! Never have I swatched that many polishes in one day on my nails but I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Keep an eye out for my next posts featuring other shades from my collection :)
