Empties - Feb & March

This is my first ever empties post and I love reading other people's empties posts so I hope this will be interesting for others. Normally I don't finish using most of my products as I have a tendency of using them for a week or something then forgetting about them. After a while all my items collate and now it's overflowing therefore I am trying to use up all the sample products I've received from my beauty box subscriptions. Currently I am to finish as many products as possible before purchasing new ones, to make more room and to save up money!

[cr: Lush]
The products I finished this month are:

Lush - Ponche Shower Gel
This is a limited edition shower gel which my cousin bought for me as a Christmas present along with the Lush Snowcake soap below. What intrigued me the most about this shower gel is apparently it contains orange juice and tequila! At first I did not like the smell... I don't know how to describe it but it grew onto me. It lathers well and lasted quite a while for 100g.

Lush - Snowcake Soap
The bar of soap I received was actually a star shape and I don't have any photos. On top the soap was coated with gold glitter but all that is gone once in contact with water. It is very creamy and lathers well  with a slight almond scent but my only issue with Lush soap bars is they seem to shrink in size rather quickly. Word of advice: don't drop your soap or else the water will eat it away!

Lush - Godiva Solid Shampoo
Lush solid shampoos are a two in one shampoo and conditioner. I love the smell of this jasmine scented shampoo and it made my hair feel really soft even without conditioner. Usually I find two in one shampoo & conditioner quite awful on my hair but this wasn't too bad. What I hated the most about this product was it ended up being all mushy and did not last very long in comparison to other Lush solid shampoos.

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
This is my HG top coat! If you haven't tried it then you're definitely missing out. Seche Vite's top coat is literally the fastest drying top coat I have ever tried. By the time I finish applying a top coat to my last nail, the first nail would be dried already so I don't have to stress about smudging my nails etc. The only thing I dislike about it is it starts getting thick and gooey around halfway through the bottle but it can be easily fixed with their Seche Restore.

Sportsgirl - Remove It! Nail Polish Remover Wipes
I think these remover wipes were one of the first remover wipes I have ever tried and they're not too bad. They remove nail polish quite nicely as long as it's not glitter or a really dark shade. With darker shades you would need an extra wipe but that's not a big deal. These are fragranced and the scent is bearable unlike normal nail polish removers. However I found a better nail polish remover!

Simple - Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes
To be honest I find most cleansing wipes to be the same so these don't stand out to me. Regardless of extra vitamin goodness, no alcohol and oil, and no perfume and colour, I find that these wipes seem to give a burning sensation sometimes (not good!). I bought this in a value pack so I already have a spare however I will try and purchase Wotnot's facial wipes in the future - they are the BEST wipes I've ever tried.

And last but not least,
GKMBJ - Lactic Hydrating Shampoo & Chemically Treated Fortifying Honey Cream
I don't think I have ever tried a shampoo and conditioner that has ever made my hair feel so soft and healthy until I tried these. I literally could not stop touching my hair and telling everyone to feel how soft my hair was. Even when I finished the conditioner first and only used the shampoo, my hair felt normal. Oh and my hair smelt really nice as well!

Hopefully you discovered some new products you may consider purchasing in the future. Let me know your thoughts about my first empties post!

    1. Hi Sarah! I receive them as a sample from Lust Have It but you can purchase them online via their website I think and I've seen a number of hair dressers stocking their products. You should definitely check this brand out!
